As much as people think we should live for ourselves, we are actually living for others. We often try to live up to people's expectations and we tend to get influenced by how others are feeling or acting. Why is that the case? Social norms? Acting to people's expectation, living up to society's expectations?

I seriously don't know.

How many times do we actually get to live for ourselves?

I sincerely wish everyone would be happy, so when one influence another, it's actually happy feelings. I sincerely wish everyone would be truthful to one another, so when one tell another thing, it's actually truth others need to hear. I sincerely wish everyone would be able to live for themselves, so when they are living for themselves, they would be happy and so when they are happy they will tell others the truth, and this world would be a happy place and everyone living in this world would be happier.

People tend to hide negative feelings to themselves.

I sound like I am depressed, but no I am not. I am just enlightened how one's mood can be influenced by people around them.
